Cucumber Melon Hormone-Balancing Lotion (Fresh Root & Seed Infusion)

Ingredients

Phase 1: Fresh Infusion Base

½ cup fresh wild yam root, peeled and grated

1 tbsp chasteberry (vitex) seeds, lightly crushed

1 cup carrier oil (choose sweet almond, jojoba, or grapeseed)

→ Combine these in a small saucepan or double boiler on very low heat (below simmer) for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

→ Let cool and strain through cheesecloth to get your infused hormone-balancing oil.

(This becomes your powerhouse base.)

Phase 2: Lotion Body

2 tbsp shea butter

1 tbsp castor oil

1 tbsp ashwagandha root powder

1 tsp pea flour (for minerals + soft texture)

1 tsp soursop leaves (infused oil or powder)

1 tsp magnesium oil or flakes dissolved in warm water

½ tsp ginger powder

½ tsp cinnamon powder

10 drops eucalyptus essential oil

5 drops tea tree essential oil

5 drops lemon essential oil

5 drops sweet orange essential oil

Phase 3: Cucumber Melon Infusion

Fresh option:

½ small fresh cucumber, peeled and chopped

¼ cup fresh melon (honeydew or cantaloupe)

¼ cup distilled water

→ Blend and strain through cheesecloth — this becomes your hydrating phase for that clean, crisp scent.

Optional stronger scent:

10 drops cucumber fragrance oil or extract

8 drops melon fragrance oil or essential oil

3 drops vanilla or white musk (to add a warm 90s undertone)

To Blend

1. Melt your shea butter, castor oil, and infused yam + chasteberry oil together in a heat-safe bowl until fully liquid.

2. In a separate bowl, gently warm your cucumber melon water infusion.

3. Slowly pour the warm water infusion into the oils while blending (a hand mixer or immersion blender works best).

4. Once creamy and thickened, add your essential oils, magnesium, and powdered ingredients (ashwagandha, pea flour, soursop, ginger, cinnamon).

5. Whip for 3–5 minutes until it becomes light and creamy.

6. Pour into a glass jar and refrigerate for 12 hours to set.

Use

Apply twice a day — morning and night — to your abdomen, thighs, or lower back for hormone support.

Store in the fridge up to 3 weeks (because of fresh cucumber and melon).

For longer shelf life, add ½ tsp vitamin E oil or 1 tsp rosemary extract as a natural preservative.
